Q: When are Flathead Cherries Ripe?
A: Depending on the weather, we usually start picking about July 20th and harvest runs through August.

Q: Do you ship cherries?
A: No we do not ship fresh cherries. But we will package your order and you can ship them at
the Bigfork UPS or the post office.

Q: How long do fresh cherries last?
A: If kept dry and refrigerated, they should last 10 days to two weeks. If keeping them in a cooler, do not place cherries near ice or anything frozen.

Q: Can you freeze fresh cherries?
A: Yes, wash cherries, remove stem, dry with paper towel, place on baking sheet and freeze.
Then put frozen cherries into a zip lock bag.

Q: How many cherries do you need for a pie?
A: It takes 2-3lbs of cherries for a pie; Don't forget to pit them.

Q: Why do cherries grow around the lake and not in other areas of Montana?
A: The lake modifies the temperature during the cold winter months.
